At Southwest Beauty Co., we value and respect your privacy. In a world where so much personal data is collected, often without people realising it, we take a different approach. We only ask for the information we genuinely need to care for you and provide your treatment safely, and nothing more.

This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We collect only the information we need to provide your treatments safely and to manage your bookings. This may include:

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you: when you book online, complete a consultation form, contact us by phone, text or email, or visit the salon. With your consent, we may also take before-and-after photos of your treatment.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

Health information

Health information is sensitive. We only collect it with your consent, and only where it's needed to provide your treatment safely. We'll never use it for any other purpose without your permission, unless required by law.

Photos

We will never use photos of you, including before-and-after images, on our website or social media without your consent.

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it where needed to run our business, with:

Our website

Our website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. It uses Google services to display our location map and fonts, which means Google may receive basic information from your browser, such as your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. Online bookings are made through Fresha's website, which has its own privacy policy.

How we keep it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Paper records are stored securely in the salon, and digital records are held in password-protected systems. We keep your records only for as long as we need them to provide your treatments and to meet our legal and business obligations, then securely destroy them.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. Just contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
